Board of Directors provide direction on Chamber policy, philosophy and goals. While these are appointed positions, it is nice to know those who are interested in serving in this capacity. Meetings are scheduled quarterly.
Ambassadors serve as the public relations arm of the Chamber and are the most visible appearing at Chamber sponsored events, Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies, and community activities. Meetings are on the fourth Tuesday over the noon hour.
The Agriculture Committee promotes Pettis County as an ag market center via the annual Mid -Missouri Ag Expo. In addition they sponsor ag scholarships, host youth farm tours, support agri tourism activities, encourage new innovations in production agriculture and identify ways to interpret ag heritage. Meetings are on the fourth Thursday at noon at Best Western.
The Military Affairs Committee supports Whiteman Air Force Base activities and welcomes newly stationed WAFB personnel. Meetings are on the second Thursday at noon at Maple Leaf Tea Room.
The Tourism Coalition brings tourism partners together for long range and annual planning, visitor event support and community hospitality training.
Golf Tournament coordinates the annual fund-raiser providing an excellent networking opportunity while having a great time. Tournament is held the second Monday in June.
Blue Ribbon Steering Committee coordinates the update of this community strategic plan and recognizes blue ribbon efforts. Meetings are scheduled for the fourth Tuesday at 8 a.m. at the Katy Depot.
Leadership Sedalia Steering provides direction for the ten month leadership skill building and community orientation sessions. Meetings held in conjunction with leadership classes.
